Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or using services provided by Shore Thing Home Repair ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our services. By engaging our services, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to enter into binding contracts.

Our Services

Shore Thing Home Repair provides home repair, maintenance, and improvement services in the Lake of the Ozarks area, including but not limited to:

  • General home repairs and maintenance
  • Remodeling and home improvements
  • Drywall installation and repair
  • Interior and exterior painting
  • Carpentry and custom woodwork
  • Deck repair and maintenance
  • Minor plumbing and electrical work
  • Property management support services
  • Seasonal property maintenance

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. We may also refer specialized work (such as major electrical, HVAC, or structural work) to licensed specialists.

Estimates & Pricing

Free Estimates

We provide free estimates for most projects. Estimates are based on the information provided by the customer and our on-site evaluation. All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.

Estimate Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate estimates, actual costs may vary based on:

  • Unforeseen conditions discovered during work
  • Changes requested by the customer
  • Material price fluctuations
  • Additional work required beyond the original scope

We will communicate any significant changes to the estimate before proceeding with additional work.

Written Agreements

For larger projects, we will provide a written agreement specifying the scope of work, estimated costs, timeline, and payment terms. This agreement must be signed by both parties before work begins.

Scheduling & Access

Appointments

We schedule appointments based on availability and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred times. We will provide a scheduled window for service and contact you if there are any delays.

Property Access

You must ensure that we have appropriate access to the work area. This includes:

  • Clear, safe access to the property and work areas
  • Working utilities (water, electricity) as needed for the project
  • Removal of personal items from work areas when requested
  • Proper arrangements for pets that may interfere with work

If we cannot access the property or work area at the scheduled time, a trip fee may apply.

Property Manager Authorization

Property managers must have proper authorization from property owners to request services on their behalf.

Payment Terms

Payment Methods

We accept payment by cash, check, or credit/debit card. Payment arrangements will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins.

Payment Schedule

  • Small Projects: Payment is due upon completion of work.
  • Larger Projects: A deposit may be required before work begins, with the balance due upon completion or according to an agreed milestone schedule.
  • Material Costs: For projects requiring significant material purchases, payment for materials may be required in advance.

Late Payments

Invoices are due within 15 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is less.

Warranties

Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our work. We provide a workmanship warranty for the services we perform. If you experience issues with our work within the warranty period, we will return to correct the problem at no additional cost.

Material Warranties

Materials used in your project may carry manufacturer warranties. We will provide information about applicable manufacturer warranties upon request.

Warranty Limitations

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by customer negligence or misuse
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from natural disasters, accidents, or vandalism
  • Issues arising from pre-existing conditions not addressed in the service
  • Work performed by others after our service

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Shore Thing Home Repair's liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • We are not responsible for damage to items left in work areas.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (weather, material availability, etc.).

We carry liability insurance to protect both our customers and our business. Proof of insurance is available upon request.

Cancellation Policy

Customer Cancellations

  • 24+ Hours Notice: No cancellation fee
  • Less Than 24 Hours Notice: A trip fee may apply
  • During Project: You are responsible for payment for all work completed and materials ordered

Our Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to weather conditions, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you as soon as possible and work to reschedule promptly.

Website Use

Our website is intended for informational purposes and to facilitate service requests. You agree not to:

  • Use the website in any way that violates applicable laws
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website
  • Use automated systems to access the website without permission
  • Interfere with the proper working of the website

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Shore Thing Home Repair or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws.
